what tools do you use to create hyperrealistic drawings?
every piece of art you’ll find on this site is drawn exclusively with colored pencil, with an occasional highlight from a white gel pen. there are no added embellishments or special effects, it is all 100% 2-D drawings.
do you sell prints of the drawings in your portfolio?
select prints will be available soon! however, many of the drawings in my portfolio were custom commissioned, 1-of-1 original drawings. i will not be creating prints of those specific drawings as they are exclusive to the owner.
i am working on creating more original drawings which will be sold on this site, along with prints.
do you draw pets / people / landscapes?
no people/pets/landscapes/homes/wedding venues, etc. i only draw objects up-close to ensure all details are captured.
what else do i need to know to get started on a commission?
i will only accept commissions that include an original reference photo that is well-lit, well-framed and high resolution. if this is not possible, you can mail me the item you’d like me to draw and i will shoot the reference photo myself with a professional camera (adding that time to scope).
how do you price your art?
to create the super-saturated, hyperrealistic effect, my drawings takes a substantial amount of time to produce. i charge an hourly rate for commissions to reflect my time investment. smaller-scale projects can take anywhere from 10-20 hours, while larger scale drawings take 50-200+ hours. email me for a quote.
while custom/original art is a valued investment, i absolutely believe art should be accessible whenever possible. for that reason, giclee prints will be kept as affordable as possible.
i do not offer framing services, and shipping comes at an added cost.
